What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us, plus a small amount of technical information needed to run the site securely.
Demo and quote form
- Your name, and a phone number or an email address (at least one)
- Whether you asked for a demo or a quote, and the machine you chose, if you chose one
- If you add them: your company name, your postcode, the day and time that suit you for a demo, and anything you write in the message box
- The campaign tags in the link you followed, if it had any (for example that you came from an advert or a show), so we know where the enquiry came from
Sign Show stand form (/show/, reached from the QR code on our stand)
- Your name, and a phone number or an email address (at least one), plus your company name if you give it
- What you ticked as of interest and anything you write in the message box
- The campaign tags in the link you followed (that you scanned the code at the show), so we know where the enquiry came from
Collected automatically with every form submission
Please do not include sensitive personal information in a message. We do not ask for it and do not need it to answer a question about a printer.
- Your IP address and browser user agent, used to limit repeated submissions and to investigate abuse
- The page you sent the form from
If you call, email or message us
We keep what you send us and a note of the conversation, so that whoever answers next knows what you asked. The WhatsApp buttons open WhatsApp, which is run by WhatsApp (part of Meta) under its own privacy policy.
How we use your information, and our legal basis
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for automated decision-making, and we will not add you to a marketing list because you sent an enquiry.
If you ask about finance, we will tell you who we would pass your details to, and ask you, before we do.
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a demo or a showroom visit, and prepare a quote. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To send you an automatic confirmation that your enquiry arrived, if you gave an email address. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- To protect the site and our forms from spam and abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
- To keep the records we are legally required to keep if an enquiry becomes an order, for example quotes and invoices. Legal basis: legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process data on our instructions and only for the purposes below.
- Resend: delivers the email that carries your enquiry to our team, and the confirmation email sent to you.
- Neon: hosts the database in which form submissions are stored.
- Vercel: hosts the website and keeps short-lived server logs, which include IP addresses. Vercel Web Analytics gives us anonymous, aggregated visit counts without cookies.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: checks that a form is being sent by a person and not a bot. To do this Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical signals from your browser. It is not used for advertising.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based in, or may process data in, the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where that happens the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified) or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted, unless the enquiry became an order, in which case the related records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires (normally six years).
Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period, normally no more than 30 days.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies, so there is nothing to accept or refuse.
If you switch the sizes on a page between millimetres and inches, your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under the name sg3d-units. It is not a cookie, holds no personal data and is never sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
Vercel Web Analytics and Cloudflare Turnstile do not set tracking cookies. The map link on our pages opens Google Maps, which works under Google's own privacy policy.
