A 3D sign printer, or channel letter 3D printer, prints the body of a built-up letter straight from a CorelDRAW or DXF file, with no 3D modelling. We sell six for UK sign makers, three models and the Pro version of each: the SG-S 3D ULTRA, L1S and L2S, with 800 × 800 mm or 1200 × 1200 mm beds, returns up to 130 mm and up to four colours in one print, with on-site training included*.

Buying a 3D sign printer
What is the best 3D printer for channel letters?
The one that fits your letters. For returns up to 100 mm, with printed faces in up to three colours, the SG-S 3D ULTRA; for liquid acrylic faces cured on the machine, the SG-S 3D PRO ULTRA. For returns up to 130 mm, the SG-S 3D L1S in three colours or the SG-S 3D L2S in four, each with a Pro version that adds UV curing. The three questions above suggest a machine and a bed size for your work.
How much does a channel letter 3D printer cost in the UK?

Do I need the 800 mm or the 1200 mm bed?
Choose by the tallest letter you make regularly. A letter that fits 800 × 800 mm prints in one piece on the smaller bed; the 1200 × 1200 mm bed takes letters up to 1200 mm, or more of a set in one run. Letters bigger than the bed are printed in sections and joined, on either bed.
What does the Pro version of a model add?
UV curing, on every Pro model. The SG-S 3D PRO ULTRA adds liquid acrylic UV curing, single or double layer, to the ULTRA. The SG-S 3D L1S PRO and the SG-S 3D L2S PRO add UV curing to the L1S and L2S, on a closed cabinet, 1530 mm tall, with the same returns, colours, recommended speed and file formats. The comparison above has every row, model by model.
ULTRA, L1S or L2S?
The L1S and the L2S print deeper returns (130 mm against 100 mm), have a faster recommended speed (up to 300 mm/s against 120 mm/s), a filament drier, and take STL files as well as CDR and DXF. The L2S prints four colours in one print, the L1S three. If your letters are rarely deeper than 100 mm and three colours will do, the ULTRA, our entry machine, does the job.
Is training included?
Yes. On-site training in the UK is included with every machine*: we come to your workshop and get your team printing. Spare parts are stocked in London, and our team is on the phone and WhatsApp.
Can I see one print before I buy?
Yes. Book a demo at our showroom at 17 Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware, London HA8 5LD, a short walk from Burnt Oak station on the Northern line. Visits are by appointment.
